Police end party after 40 people attempt to gatecrash and bottles are thrown
With Jennifer Thompson on the guest list, the MOBO Awards after-party at Liverpool's Hilton Hotel was always going to be a low-rent affair.
But things at the event went from bad to worse last night as police were called in to close down the party after violence broke out among revellers.
The party, which was also attended by celebrities such as Alex Gerrard and Calum Best, was supposed to finish at 4am, but had to be closed three hours early after what was described by police as a 'large scale disorder'.
